Folios 191-192: Lord James Townshend, HMS Aeolus, Downs.
Following orders from Sir John Borlase Warren and Captain Oliver, Senior Commander at Halifax, he sailed from Halifax Nova Scotia to Canso and then to the UK with a convoy of 40 sails. He refers to a list of the vessels in the convoy but it is missing. Reports that the Master of a ship from Ayre was disobedient.
