Description

Folios 242-243: Thomas Richard Toker, HMS Cruizer, Grimsby Roads, Humber. Encloses his order from Francis Mason, Captain, HMS Fisgard and his last official direction to proceed to the Downs, together with list of the defects of the ship and a report on the number of sick and a list of Marines on board. Advises that as soon as he has taken on bread and water, he will make his way to the Downs.

Folios 244: enclosure with folios 242-243. Francis Mason, Acting Captain, HMS Fisgard, off Jameren, 17 November 1810 to Thomas Richard Toker, HMS Cuizer. Copy of Orders, following directions from Sir James Saumarez, Vice Admiral, to place himself under his command.

Folios 245: enclosure with folios 242-243:. Return of Royal Marines serving on HMS Cruizer from 29 March 1810 and 30 November 1810. Lists 15 Marines with names, Ship Book numbers, number of company, rank, where last clothed, date of next clothing and remarks. Signed by Thomas Richard Toker and John Hallory.

Folios 246: enclosure with folios 242-243. Return of Royal Marines serving on HMS Cruizer from 29 March 1810 and 30 November 1810. Lists 5 Marines with names, Ship Book numbers, number of company, rank, where last clothed, date of next clothing and remarks. Signed by Thomas Richard Toker and John Hallory.

Folios 247: enclosure with folios 242-243. Return of number of sick and wounded on HMS Cruizer from 1 December 1810 to 22 December 1810. Signed by [J McCreary?], Acting Surgeon.

Folios 248: enclosure with folios 242-243. Carpenter's account of defects on board HMS Cruizer, 22 December 1810. Signed by John [Leghtman?], Carpenter, and Thomas Richard Toker.
