Folios 250-251: William Henry Brown Tremlett, Regulating Officer, Whitby. States the case of Adam Picket [Peckett], aged about 28 to 30, who was impressed through information that he had been to Greenland several times and would make a good Armourer.
Folios 252-253: enclosure with folios 250-251. Letter dated 4 Janaury 1806 by Holt & Richardson, Ship Builders, Whitby, to the Admiralty. Requesting the discharge of Adam Peckett, a Whitesmith, who was impressed in Whitby. States that from every information, and Peckett's own admission, he has only been to sea once from Whitby to Greenland five years ago and since then has been a landsman and Master Whitesmith in a shop belonging to their company.
