Description

Folios 145-146: John Bennett, Lloyds. Returning the letter of Francis Temple, Captain, late of HMS Theseus, a copy of which will be taken into consideration at the next meeting.

Folios 147-150: enclosure with folios 145-146. Letter dated 6 January 1806 by Francis Temple, late Captain of HMS Theseus, to the Admiralty. Detailed response to statement from the Masters of Merchant ships, lately under convoy to HMS Theseus, regarding his conduct during the passage from Jamaica to England in July May to. Ships mentioned: HMS Cerf, HMS Drake, HMS Racoon, HMS Diligentia, HMS Gracieuse, HMS Caesar, HMS Loire, Frederick Lewis Maitland, Captain, and HMS Avon, Francis Jackson Snell, Captain. The Benson of Liverpool, Askew, Captain and the Otway. Also Edwin Henry Chamberlayne, Captain of [HMS Cerf?].
