Description

Folios 123-124: Sandford Tatham, Greenock. Encloses a copy of the report of the trial in the prosecution of the gaoler of Greenock which he trusts will effectively check the spirit of opposition to the Impress Service.

Folios 125-126: enclosure with folios 123-124. Copy of the Report on the trial of the Gaoler of Greenock, Court of the Exchequer, Michaelmas Term, 1806. Counsel for the Crown: Solicitor General; Mr Adam Gilly, Mr William Clerk and MR J K McKenzie and Mathew Montgomerie, Solicitor for the Admiralty. Counsel for the Defendant: the Dean of Faculty and David Boyle, Attorney. John Taylor.
