Description

Folios 239-240: John Temple, HMS Saint Albans, Hosely Bay. Reply to letter dated 14 March 1805 in the case's of:- Thomas Wilson, John Cleugh and James Thornton alias James Morris. Impressed on board HMS Saint Albans. Reports that Thomas Wilson was impressed as his age did not agree with the protection produced and the signature being imperfect. John Cleugh being a Carpenter having no affidavit and his wages mentioned in the Ships Articles t9o be less than a Seaman. James Thornton alias James Morris being a volunteer and has received he Kings Bounty.

Folios 241-242: enclosure with folios 239-240. Request dated 12 March 1805 from John Knight for the discharge of Thomas Wilson an apprentice to Thomas Robertson by indenture dated 28 March 1803. Also states that the indenture was taken and has not been returned.

Folios 243-244: enclosure with folios 239-240. Petition dated 30 March 1805 from Charles Andrews? for his apprentice James Thornton alias James Morris requests his discharge and that the Bounty would be repaid.

Folios 245-246: enclosure with folios 239-240. Letter dated 12 March 1805 from John Knight for the discharge of John Cleugh, Carpenter on the Ship Fox.

Folios 247-248: enclosure with folios 239-240. Petition dated 13 March 1805 from Charles Andrews? for James Thornton alias James Morris, encloses the indentures and that he will be discharged.
