Folios 229-230: John Temple, HMS Saint Albans, Hosely Bay. Reply to letter dated 5 March 1805 in the case of Edward Baird, impressed on HMS Saint Albans in December 1804. Reports that the protection which was produced the height did not match his actual height and his indentures dated 1802. He did not belong to the vessel from which he was impressed and he does not appear to be the person alluded to in the enclosed affidavit.
Folio 231: enclosure with folios 229-230. Certificate that William Orde, Master of the Union Berwick Shipping Company Armed Ship Coldstream Packet came before the Justice of the Peace and made oath that Edward Baird was impressed from the said ship on the 9 December 1804.
Folios 232-233: enclosure with folios 229-230.Letter dated 4 March 1805 from John Newall, London. . States that Edward Baird an apprentice to Union Shipping Company Packet Coldstream of Berwick.
