Folios 190-191: Francis Temple. HMS Theseus, Chatham. Reply to letter requesting the circumstances under which the Catherine and Eagle parted company. [Follows is a report on the events of the convoy]. Mentions the Merchant ship Eagle, Master Marrison bound for London and the Catherine [Master Tool?] bound for Dublin. Captain [James Alexander] Gordon of HMS Diligentia [Spanish ship Diligencia - Captured 1804 became HMS Ligaera?]. Also mentions his letter dated 6 September 1805 sent on his arrival at the Downs. Calls for the testimony of the Captains of the two Men of War attached to the convoy and the Commanders of the Phoenix and Benson merchant ships, Douglas and Askew Masters.
