Folios 249-250: William Paterson, HMS Minden, Plymouth. Request confirmation of the appointment made by Rear-Admiral Sir Richard King, Bart, KCB, of Mr Peter Magee, Boatswain HMS Orlando, as Boatswain HMS Minden after Mr William Mullins, Boatswain HMS Minden was appointed to a death vacancy as Boatswain, HM Yard, Trincomalee, and not hearing of his confirmation. Noted confirmation dated 20 Oct.
Folios 251-252: enclosure with folios 249-250. Copy of letter dated 15 July 1818 from Rear-Admiral of the White, Sir Richard King, Bart, KCB, to Captain William Paterson, on the appointment of Peter Magee, Boatswain HMS Orlando as Boatswain HMS Minden, dated 15 July 1818 in Trincomalee.
