In re Captain Purvis's letter of 26 May 1820, and the Admiralty's reply of the 27th, they report that no previous application has been made for the allowance of freight on the 20,000 Pagodas [spice?] taken aboard the Magicienne at Madras, for passage to Trincomalee, and therefore ask that directions may be given for 'the usual remuneration' for that service.
