Folios 197-198: Fleetwood Broughton Reynolds Pellew, HMS Revolutionaire, Genoa.
Reporting his arrival at that port, having on board Sir Robert Liston, late Ambassador to the port of Constantinople, and his family. He sailed from the Castles of the Dardanelles on 10 July, waited 6 weeks at Constantinople, as Sir Robert was not ready to depart, and in consequence reports that his people are currently on two thirds rations, due to shortage of stores. Says as soon as Sir Robert's party lands to undergo quarantine he intends to sail for Malta to re-provision the ship. Encloses [not now present] a letter for the Navy Board re paying pilotage to Mr Farley, the Master, a 'most deserving good officer', whose hard work has meant they did not need to engage two pilots for the difficult navigation - hopes he may be approved of for wishing to pay Mr Farley the rate of one pilot, to encourage him.
