Folios 175-176: Sir William Parker, Shenstone Lodge, near Lichfield.
Writes to ask if some arrears of pay due to an ex member of his crew, may be paid. The man is Terence McGuire, of Dublin, who served with him in the sloop Stork in 1801 and 1802 as volunteer first class, along with his brother Michael McGuire, who was a 'most excellent and meritorious' warrant officer, serving with Parker as Boatswain in both the Stork and the Alarm, later distinguished himself in the Loire with Captain J. L. Maitland, in the Magnificent with Captain Jervis, and was then lost in the Blenheim, with the late Sir Thomas Trowbridge. Terence had been appointed to the Alarm but there was no place for him when peace was declared and he was sent home. Now in great need of help. Admiralty note refers the matter to Navy Board.
