Folios 246-247: William Popham, HMS Sybille, Port Royal. Another request to appoint a 'young gentleman' as volunteer first class, this one is Mr Henry Holloway. He says he has already obtained the sanction of the commander in chief. Mr Holloway was born in England in 1806, educated at Ealing Academy, and his father is a civil servant in the East India Company and is Popham's first cousin.
