Description

Folios 246-247: John Temple, HMS Saint Albans, Horsley Bay. Agreeable to Rear Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley's direction to take the necessary steps and enquire into a complaint made by Corporal Crow on the Royal Marines on HMS Charger (Gun Brig) for Ill treatment and report the results to you. [Details of his investigation, mentions the Master he complains of was interviewed by the Lieutenant and discharged from HMS Charger on 15 February 1804. Mentions Richard Nichol, Private Royal Marine.].

Folios 248-249: enclosure with folios 246-247. Letter dated 11 March 1804 by John Crow, HMS Charger, Sheerness. Letter of complaint.

Folios 250-251: enclosure with folios 246-247. Statement signed by 10 Royal Marines [1 Sergeant, 1 Corporal and 7 Privates.).
