Folios 192-193: Francis Temple, HMS Tartarus, Sheerness. Having appointed the Carpenter from HMS Tartarus to HMS Kingfisher, at this port. Request a Warrant be granted to William Thomas, Carpenter's Mate on HMS Tartarus having served five and a half years as a Block, Mast and Pump Maker. Three years as a Shipwright, 12 years as a Carpenter in the Merchant Service and 9 months Carpenter's Mate on HMS Tartarus.
