Folios 597-598: William Henry Brown Tremlett, Commander of the Sea Fencibles, Cromer. States his criticisms of the position of the Signal Post at Cromer and other matters and offers better suggestions.
Folio 599: enclosure with folios 597-598. Note of reply to be sent to Captain Tremlett dated 7 December 1803. Inform him he is mistaken about the purpose of the signal posts. They are not to communicate along the coast but to inform the Interior of movements at sea.
