Folios 585-586: George Henry Towry, Tribune, off Cherbourg. Encloses protection certificates taken from Jacob Farley and Mark Phillip when he impressed them from the Buck Sloop off Hastings. They had small kegs of spirits and tobacco on board. He does not consider the Protection covers Hastings.
Folio 587: enclosure with folios 585-586. Protection No 70, signed by Captain Schomberg, dated 6 October 1803. States that Jacob Farley belongs to the Sea Fencibles and is protected from impressment when conducting his business between Dungeness and Beachy Head, including the River Thames until 15 November 1803.
Folio 588: enclosure with folios 585-586. Protection No 69, signed by Captain Schomberg, dated 6 October 1803. States that Mark Phillip belongs to the Sea Fencibles and is protected from impressment when conducting his business between Dungeness and Beachy Head, including the River Thames until 15 November 1803.
