Folios 265-266: Francis Temple, HMS Tartarus, in the Wallet. Reports that Charles Rutherford was impressed from a collier as his Protection was not understood by the Impress Officer as it referred to a voyage in the future. However he has turned out to be trouble having enticed Charles Weatherhead to desert.
Folios 267-268: enclosure with folios 265-266. Letter dated 19 November 1803 by John Taylor. Encloses certificates and affidavit [not present] showing that Charles Rutherford is due to sail for the Davis Strait.
