Folios 233-236: Sandford Tatham, Greenock. He is very aggrieved by the continued criticism of his conduct over the matter of the bedding provided for the men who ended up on HMS Northumberland and their determination that he has to make some financial recompense. Explains his case again.
Folios 237-238: enclosure with folios 233-234. Letter dated 10 December 1803 by Duncan Campbell, Greenock. Again insists that he provided the best bedding he could and questions the qualifications of the people in Plymouth who made the complaints and assessed values especially after the bedding had been"tumbled about in a dirty Press Room". If the matter is not settled without delay he will sue Captain Tatham.
