Description (What the record is about)
-
Folios 183-184: Sandford Tatham, Greenock. Having had forwarded a claim for the cost of the employment of a pilot in Plymouth by Mr. Hamilton of the Prince William Revenue Cutter, he states that he did not authorise it. No one else needs a pilot. He also does not accept Mr. Hamilton's claims that he has made a loss regarding the victualling of his men. The allowance given to him is that for the Revenue Cutter service. It is accepted that it is less than Royal Navy allowances.
Folio 185: enclosure with folios 183-184. Return for period 22-29 September 1803. Shows the numbers of volunteers, pressed men and men brought by Civil authorities procured and disposed of.
