Folios 241-242: [?] Percy, Burnwood, Cobham, Surrey. Encloses a letter from Lieutenant Parry of HMS Alexander concerning John Brothers and Henry Platt who deserted from Captain Percy's ship the Hermes in 1814. In view of what Lieutenant Parry says he supports the"R" for run be removed from their names.
Folios 243-244: Letter dated 16 December 1818 by bLieutenant Parry, HMS Alexander, Deptford. He has been made aware that John Brothers and Henry Platt who have served on the Alexander are deserters from HMS Hermes. HMS Alexander has most recently seen service in the Arctic and their conduct there has been so good they have been selected for the expedition being fitted out for Arctic next spring. He requests Captain Percy's support for getting the"R" against their names removed.
