Folios 517-518: George Tripp, HMS Nassau, Chatham. Reply to and in compliance to the letter dated 18 June 1799. Reports that he can hang 500 hammocks on the lower decks to accommodate troops, which includes double births for a proportion of Sergeants and Corporals. He can also stow 32 cradles on each side of 22 inches width & six and a half feet long allowing a sufficient gangway to attend the cables and for a passage.
