Folios 171-172: William Taylor, HMS Andromeda in the Downs. Reports on the voyage with a convoy from Quebec.
Folio 173: enclosed with folios 171-172. Copy of an order dated 14 August 1798 from Vice Admiral George Vandeput, HMS Asia, Halifax harbour, telling William Taylor to take on stores for 4 months and proceed to the Gulf of St Lawrence from Cape Rozier to Cape Ann to protect trade and fishery vessels.
Folios 174-177: enclosed with folios 171-172. Copies of letters received from the merchants of Montreal and Quebec concerned about the appropriate date at which the convoy, including fur ships, should leave Quebec signed by numerous companies and individuals.
