Folios 165-166: Sandford Tatham, North Shields. Writes that Thomas Shindead was impressed by Lieutenant Kelly from a public house on shore.
Folios 167-168: enclosed with folios 165-166. Letter dated 23 December 1798 by Stanford Tatham writes that the man impressed presented a protection obtained fraudulently at the Custom House at Hull as he had never, by his own admission, been to Greenland or the Davis Strait Fishery. The protection is missing.
