Folios 267-268: George Tripp, HMS Severn, Spithead. Reporting that he has received the orders to put himself under the Command of Captain James Douglas of HMS Saturn and that he has complied with them. Enclosed [Not Inc.] are the orders to put himself and the Transports under his orders under the Command and Convoy of Captain John Pakenham of HMS Gibraltar as requested in their letter dated 2 May 1795. He has received the letter dated 30m April 1795 appointing Mr Ottley from HMS Queen to be 3rd Lieutenant to HMS Severn an that the present 3rd Lieutenant is moved up. Mr George Grant the 1st Lieutenant is very ill and has not been able to do any duty and has request a survey. He requests an order for him to be surveyed and the appointment of another 1st Lieutenant another 1st Lieutenant.
