Folios 225-226: Thomas Totty, HMS Dictator, Spithead. In obedience to your order dated 1 October 1795, respecting Peter Pederson, Able Seaman said by Mr Wolf, the Danish Consul, to be impressed and on board HMS Dictator. Reports that he has checked the books and no one named Peter Pederson is listed. There is a foreigner on board HMS Dictator named Peter Peterson formerly on HMS Boyne but whether he was impressed or volunteered is not stated on any papers from the Commerce De Marseilles. Further he states that most of the seamen on HMS Dictator are foreigners.
