Folios 223-224: Thomas Totty, HMS Dictator, St. Helens. Informing that Lieutenant Hector Graig, having been appointed to HMS Dictator , joined the ship on the 12 October 1795 in a most delibated state of Health and unfit for duty having lately returned from the West Indies ill of a fever and still having a Hectic fever and diarrhoea. On the 19 October he became delirious and the Surgeon thought that the fever he had might become contagious. He was sent the following day, the 20th to the Haslar Hospital by a sick ticket which was approved by both the Physicians and Surgeon of the Hospital, but the Commander in Chief of Portsmouth would not approve the ticket. Request their Lordships Commands relative to the business in order that he may govern himself accordingly.
