Captured ship: St Andrew of Marstrand (master Andrew Anderson of Marstrand, sole owner) 1673
Capture history: a Scottish merchant ship (schute or barge, 60 tons; formerly a Swedish merchant ship, bound from Marstrand to Amsterdam, laden with deals and pitch, goat skins, hides and iron; taken on 1 May 1673 between Norway and Jutland [Skagerrak / Kattegat] by an unnamed Scottish privateer, and brought into Leith, Scotland [and condemned]), now bound from Leith to Amsterdam or Rotterdam, laden with some of the Swedish cargo, plus Scottish coal and wool, and Scotch merchandize (plaidings and stockings) for Scots merchants; taken on 29 or 30 July/8 or 9 August 1673 off the Vlie by the privateer Dover Castle (Henry Sturt commanding) and brought into Great Yarmouth.
