Captured ship: Adventure of Hull (master Edward Barratt) 1673
Capture history: an English merchant ship (ketch, 40 tons), bound from London to Hull in convoy; taken on 28 November/8 December 1673 off the River Humber by a Dutch privateer, retaken within an hour by HMS Drake (Rowland Stepney commanding), and brought into Hull: the Dutch prize crew had delivered the ship back to her master before the action by HMS Drake.
