Folios 393-394: Thomas Twysden, HMS Pylades, Nore.
Requesting that James Finlay, carpenter's mate, who was turned over from the Queen armed vessel, should receive the usual bounty. Finlay was pressed at Sunderland by the midshipman of Lieutenant Abbs' gang, but was immediately put on board the tender, so never had a chance to see Lt Abbs and enter voluntarily, as he would have wished to do. Twysden says he is a most deserving and valuable man and hopes he may be granted the bounty. Admiralty note on rear refers to Abbs.
