Folios 258-259: William Taylor, HMS La Prompte, at Sheerness. Enclosing a list of men on board, as directed, who all lately belonged to the Minerva. Says he applied to Captain Whitby for the bounty for these men (they having applied to him for it), but his answer was that they had all been impressed and therefore not entitled to it. He would be grateful however, if their Lordships would approve the bounty, as the men all entered as soon as they were on board the Minerva. Adds he has received instructions about the La Prompte being taken into dock, and it will be done that day.
Folio 260: enclosure with folios 258-259. List of 32 impressed men belonging to the La Prompte, received from the Minerva. With details of their original ships.
