Folios 254-255: William Taylor, HMS La Prompte, in the Downs.
Advising of his arrival, together with the sloop Cormorant, the Ceres and Diamond armed ships, and 19 transports. Has been ordered by Vice Admiral Peyton to deliver charge of his convoy to the Lord Mulgrave, armed sloop, under Captain Rolles, and to proceed immediately with any trade that is ready to the Nore.
