Folios 293-294: David Scott, Aberdeen. Covering letter for a letter received from the Navy Board and him commanding HMS Centurion. When he was ordered to reduce the establishment there was no mention made of Paying off, and the Officers and Men who were to come from her crew were left on the Books and then discharged. [Further details of what happened].
Folio 295: enclosure with folios 293-294. Navy Board, 26 June 1815. Reply to letter his letter dated 13 June 1815. We acquainted him that the Muster Book of HMS Centurion for the month of March 1815 referred to, has not been received, and that if the compliment of the ship was reduced in that month, it is necessary that he should send a reason? to this office, upon receipt of the book in question to make out Pay Books therefrom.
