Folios 271-272: William Simpson, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Reply to letter dated 11 July 1815 in the case of William Maud [Maude] said to be an apprentice. He volunteered with Lieutenant Noble as a Landsman aged 20, denied being an apprentice at the time of regulating him.
Folios 273-274: enclosure with folios 271-272. Letter from Timothy Maude, Bingley. 24 June 1815. Father of William Maude and ask whether they will order him to be returned as they getting a man in his stead, or paying the usual sum for a lad of 17.
Folio 275: enclosure with folios 271-272. (Attached to folio 272): Certificate of Baptism for William son of Timothy Maud [Maude] born 2 September 1798.
Folios 276-277: enclosure with folios 271-272. Letter from [?] Stadgson of Crunhill Hall near Bingley about the letter sent on the 24 June 1815 about paying for his son's liberation. Mentions that William Maud [e] is now on HMS St. George, in Plymouth.
