Description

Folios 34-35. Letter from Lord Viscount Weymouth to the Earl of Buckingham referring to the latter's letter of 29 April 1777 reporting that the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty have advised that: HMS Boyne and Belleisle, both third rates, are cruising between Cape Clear and Ushant; a sloop and two cutters are ordered to cruise between the Lands' End and the Coast of Ireland; and another sloop and a cutter are appointed on a standing convoy for the linen ships and other trade from Dublin to England; besides which several of His Majesty's Ships and vessels are cruising to the Westward. Dated at St James's.
