Folios 263-264: Christopher Strachey, 45 Crawford Street, 23 York Place, Portman Square. Must take an oath in order to obtain a Post Captain Commission but states his willingness to serve as Commander. Refers to previous service on HMS Dauntless.
Folios 265-266: enclosure with folios 263-264. Note initialled M stating that the oath must be taken before the Commission is made public.
Folios 267-267A: enclosure with folios 263-264. Covering letter dated 16 June 1814 for the letter at folios 268-269.
