Folios 120-121: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. Acknowledging the receipt of letter of 22 September with its enclosures relating to the impressment of Nicholas Tresidder late of the Arabella Packet. He entered the service on condition that he was kept on HMS Experiment, Lieutenant Carne will attest to this.
Folios 122-123: enclosure with folios 120-121. Letter from James Pateous in command of the Arabella Packet, Dartmouth, to Admiralty 19 September 1813. Acknowledging receipt of enclosed letter, folio 124, from the Admiralty stating that Nicholas Tresidder has voluntarily entered HMS Experiment and cannot be discharged. Enclosed is a sworn document from Nicholas Tresidder.
Folio 124: enclosure with folios 122-123 and folios 120-121. Document sworn at Falmouth, 19 September 1813, by Nicholas Tresidder that he never voluntarily offered to serve in His Majesty's Navy.
Folios 125-126: enclosure with folios 120-121. James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. Letter to the Admiralty 13 August, 1813. Acknowledging receipt of letter of 10 August 1813 he states that Nicholas Tresidder was impressed on 4 August and had no protection on him to exempt him from Marine Laws.
