Folios 114-115: James Pattison Stewart, HMS Amphion, Nore. Having received orders from Captain Rye of HMS Ceylon, to take aboard Madame de Tatischoff and her suite, at Gothenburg, and bring her to England, he advises that he has arrived at this anchorage and submits his log of proceedings [not now present].
Folios 116-117: enclosure with folios 114-115. Letter to Captain Stewart from Captain Peter Rye, of HMS Ceylon at Hawke Roads, dated 5 September 1813. Having been directed by Secretary Barrow on 16 August to arrange passage for this lady, asks Stewart to take her aboard the Amphion and on arrival in England, at Yarmouth or the nearest port, to report to Vice Admiral Murray or another senior officer. Folio 117 is a copy of the letter from Mr Barrow, dated 16 August, asking Captain Rye to organise the passage on board a frigate or sloop of war for the lady of the Russian Ambassador to the court of Spain.
