Folios 94-95: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth.
Acknowledges receipt of Admiralty letter of 16 September, at 8pm, by the messenger carrying dispatches for the Marquis of Wellington, and who advised him of their Lordships' directions that Slade should organise one of the fast vessels to take him to Passages, and then to return to Falmouth with any dispatches. Also to direct him to take the mails of 13 September to Passages. Slade says he has selected the cutter Dwarf to perform this service, and the vessel sailed at 1am this day.
