Folios 87-88: William Isaac Scott, HMS Freya, Plymouth Sound. Reporting his arrival at port, with 31 officers, 303 NCOs and privates, and 2 women (French prisoners of war), from and taken, at the surrender of St Sebastian. Also encloses his log of proceedings [not now present] and a copy of his orders from Admiral George Martin.
Folios 89-90: enclosure with folios 87-88. Orders for Scott dated 14 and 20 July 1813, from Admiral Martin on HMS Stately, on the Tagus. The first regards his orders for the masters of transports and other vessels bound for Santander, and he is to convoy them to Corunna where another convoy will be arranged - but if not, and if Lt Col Bourke says it is the desire of the Marquis of Wellington that they leave for Santander immediately, he is to convoy them himself. The second order says he should proceed directly to Santander and only call to collect shipping at Corunna if he can do so without any delays.
