Folios 41-42: James Pattison Stewart, HMS Amphion, Hawke Roads. Enclosing a copy of orders he has received from Rear Admiral Moore, to explain any loss of time on his part in carrying out his original orders. He has carried out all those orders except that which the new order has superseded and will defer sending his log until he has returned to England.
Folio 43: enclosure with folios 41-42: Orders dated 25 August 1813 by Rear Admiral Graham Moore to Captain Stewart, saying that as soon as he has passed through the Belt with the convoy he has in charge, he is to proceed to Wingo Sound and there take charge of the first convoy that may be bound to the Nore.
