Description

Folios 329-330: Peter Spicer, Swansea. Regarding his orders to send one of his tenders (HMS Ann) to Bristol and the other tender (HMS Ant) to impress men from the West India fleet and HMS Ant's deficiencies to be able to carry this out. Also saying that Lieutenant Boswell and HMS Conquest Gun Brig are waiting at Swansea for her convoy and that HMS Bloodhound Gun Brig is currently at the Mumbles. Requesting direct command of the Gun Brig so he could cruise off Lundy Island when the West India Convoy is expected, as they are familiar with the Bristol Channel. Captain Dobson mentioned. Also mention of Lieutenant Notter, Lieutenant James [Rus?] and Lieutenant Daniel Shewen.
