Description

Folios 154-155: Edward Scobell, HMS Thais, [St Iran?]. Confirming receipt of letters addressed to Commodore Irby conveyed by HMS Tweed, containing Mr Stuart's catalogue of captured Portuguese Guineamen and an order to admit Portuguese vessels of Cayenne. Orders regarding American Licensed Ships and letters regarding Commodore Irby's reports of proceedings on the Coast and vessel signalling also mentioned. Reporting on a letter by Stuart Bruce, consul of Tenerife, giving description and information of the following American Privateer ships cruising around the island-Schooner[Peollar?], Schooner Dolphin, Brig Decatur, Schooner Tom and Schooner Revenge. Also mentions the Ship's Journal, Guard Report, Sick Report, Ship's Defects and the list of Punishments. Confirming supplies bought at Sierra Leone and that will probably cruise towards Cape Verde.

Folio 156: enclosure with folios 154-155. Christopher Nichols (Carpenter), Thomas Newbery (Boatswain), Peter Talbot (Gunner), 18 March 1813, to the Captain. Defect reports.

Folio 157: enclosure with folios 154-155. Walter Gray (Surgeon), 1 May 1812 to 18 March 1813, to the Captain. Return of Sick and Wounded on board.
