Description

Folios 142-143: James Keith Shepard, Gravesend. Description and regarding John Thomas, an apprentice on El Corso, impressed by Lieutenant Petley from the Sarah [Christian?] off Gravesend.

Folio 144: enclosure with folios 142-143. Letter dated 6 July 1813 by Eleanor Smith, Gravesend, to the Admiralty. Regarding the discharge of John Thomas, after being impressed at Gravesend and being held on the Tender there. John Thomas was Apprenticed to her late husband Andrew Smith. Captain Shepard mentioned.
