Folios 124-125: Edward Scobell, HMS Thais, Sierra Leone. Regarding their arrival after cruising along the coast of Biafra and [Loangor?]. The fate of Commodore [Frederick Paul] Irby in HMS Amelia, after watching [HMS?] Arethusa and [Penby?] escaping from Nantes and anchoring at the Isles de Loss mentioned. Lieutenant [William Richard] Pascoe and the destruction of his HM Brig the Daring also mentioned. About meeting HMS Tweed and their despatches addressed to Commodore Irby. Also mentions the effects of the American Privateers along the coast including the news of 2 American Privateers travelling as far south as the de Verde Islands. Reports on Portuguese trade and their use of Cabenda and Melemba to obtain many captives.
