Folios 114-115: [Andrew?] Smith, Regulating Officer, Greenock. Regarding the impressed man, Thomas Roberts, mate of the Union, and recommending the acceptance of the compensation money.
Folios 116-117: enclosure with folios 114-115. Letter dated 26 June 1813 by William Kerr, Greenock, . Explaining Thomas Roberts' situation and requesting his discharge. Thomas Roberts being Chief Mate of the Union of Port Glasgow and a native of [Pembery?] Wales was impressed from the East Quay of Greenock and carried on board HM tender Elizabeth. The Union was carrying cargo from Honduras and encountered an American privateer on passage between Martinique and Honduras. John Rennie, the master, is also mentioned.
