Folios 9-10: Alexander Renton Sharpe, HMS Hyacinth. Asking for Mr Thomas, currently Acting Gunner, to be confirmed as gunner after good service.
Folios 11-12: enclosure with folios 9-10. Letter dated 19 October 1812 from Thomas Usher, Captain, HMS Hyacinth, at Malaga, to William Thomas, Quartermaster of HMS Hyacinth. Order for William Thomas to act as gunner in place of the invalided Thomas Ridley.
