Petitions and letters: Petition from Edward Stabiton(?), Clerk on behalf of the Chorley Union, asking for mitigation for the prisoner, formerly a Relieving Officer of the Chorley Union, saying he has suffered enough and has a family.
The prisoner came before Henry Howarden Fazackerley and Reverend Charles Edward Kendal Glerlir(?).
Letter from the Governor of Preston House of Correction, 1846, stating that before going to the House of Correction, the prisoner had absconded to America for 2 years, after becoming a defaulter for not paying £320 fine for embezzling money belonging to the Chorley Union.
