Letter from the Lord Viscount Weymouth to 1st Earl Harcourt referring to the latter's letter of 22 May 1776 and advising that the King does not consider it advisable that a new proclamation should be issued either in Great Britain or Ireland for granting a further time to deserters to return to their duty as it might serve to encourage the hopes and expectations of deserters thereafter.
