Folios 120-121. Letter from the Lord Viscount Weymouth to 1st Earl Harcourt referring to his letter of 18 May 1776 regarding the appointment of Captain Charles Gordon to be major of the 11th Regiment of Foot in the room of Major Edwards, to which he now adds that the King has ordered commissions to be prepared for the following promotions in the 11th Regiment: Ensign Christopher Michell to be Lieutenant, and Lieutenant Patrick Hely preferred to be Captain in the room of the said Gordon; Lieutenant William Draper Nicholas to be captain in the place of Captain William Augustus Gordon who retires; Ensign Arthur Pyne to be Lieutenant in the place of Lieutenant Nicholas.
